Most journaling apps assume the hard part is finding a beautiful place to write. Journal Lock starts one step earlier. It uses Apple's Screen Time controls to create a small pause before selected apps, then gives that pause a purpose through private writing.

We build for people who want less reflexive screen time and a more consistent record of their own lives. The product combines a calm journal, guided reflection, mood check-ins, weekly perspective, and an intentional app lock.

How we publish

Journal Lock writes about products it competes with, so our commercial interest is disclosed on comparison pages. Product claims are checked against current behavior and primary documentation. Research pages distinguish observed data from marketing conclusions.
